Nuroosa – The Gathering Place
I developed a complete branding package for Nuroosa, a new venue in Derbyshire offering weddings, wakes, corporate retreats, and well-being stays. The brand needed to reflect Nuroosa’s values of sustainability, care, and bespoke service while providing a flexible identity for a wide range of events.

Process
Research
I began by meeting the clients on-site to understand the venue, their business and clients themselves. This face-to-face discussion covered brand values, competitors, and the visual styles they felt aligned with their identity.
Concept & Development
From my research, I sketched dozens of concepts reflecting Nuroosa’s services and values. Of a select few presented the client selected an abstract mark inspired by the building’s shape, formed from the negative space between flowing lines. These lines symbolised community, togetherness, and care.
I then developed the chosen concept into a refined brand icon, experimenting with variations in line width, treatment, and intentional imperfections to balance elegance with a natural, organic feel.
Outcome
The final brand centres on an abstracted silhouette of the venue, created from fluid, organic lines that reference both the surrounding trees and Nuroosa’s values of growth and sustainability.
The identity is now in active use, with the client implementing it across social media, their website, and on-site venue signage.
