Punct: 2025 Graphic Communication degree show

I worked as lead web designer and contributing graphic designer in a five-person team to produce the branding and promotional material for Punct, the 2025 BA Graphic Communication degree show. This project gave me experience in collaborative design, events planning, and producing print-ready assets.

Process

As a team, we began by identifying individual strengths and assigning roles to make best use of our skills. We researched previous degree shows, attended design exhibitions, and surveyed past attendees to inform both our branding approach and advertising strategy for the event.

Our chosen concept, Punct, combined punk-inspired graphic design with punctuation marks, reflecting the typographic focus of our course. We developed a flexible visual identity using scanned letterpress punctuation, bold textures, and a limited yellow, red, and black palette, applying it consistently across all physical and digital materials. I led the design and build of the website, and contributed to the production of printed invites, signage, wayfinding, and exhibition graphics.

Outcome

The final deliverables included a responsive website, social media campaign, physical and digital invites, exhibition signage, interactive stamp wall, and wayfinding materials. The Punct brand successfully blended our department's typographic heritage with a rebellious punk aesthetic, creating a strong visual identity for the show.

In addition to the necessary deliverables, we had the idea to create an interactive element, inviting attendees to contribute to the exhibition space. On one of walls of the exhibition we left left a blank yellow canvas, aswell as stamps and ink which attendees could stamp the wall, elevating the experience of the show, as well as reinforcing our brand identity through physical user action.

The identity was implemented across every touchpoint of the event, both online and in the physical exhibition space, resulting in a cohesive, recognisable presence that reflected the ethos and skills of our graduating year.
